Inspired by the rich cultural traditions of Uttarakhand, Hansuli began its journey to rediscover, preserve and celebrate the region’s traditional jewellery. As rapid modernization began threatening the traditional Sunar workbenches of Tehri, Srinagar, Almora, and Pauri, intricate techniques like thin-wire filigree, repoussé champa petals, and sacred velvet mounting were slipping toward obsolescence.
